13 Things I'm Loving in Taylor Swift's LA Home

I certainly wouldn’t consider myself a nosy person. But all my life, I’ve been fascinated AF with people’s homes. My sister often reminds me of how I would ask to use the bathroom in people’s houses when we’d visit them. If I liked their bathroom décor, choice of soap and their towels were fluffy to my standards, I liked the person. What a terribly judgemental child I was.

I’d love to tell you I’ve changed… But I’d be lying if I did. It’s important to note that I’m not interested in how much money you’ve spent on your house or how clean and tidy it is. I’m not a complete dickhead. But I just love seeing how people’s life stories are told through the medium of collections, art and colour.

There are only so many people’s houses a gal can visit (though thankfully my gig as interior stylist and writer has led me to quite a few good‘uns). So you can only imagine my excitement when Vogue launched their 73 Questions series on their YouTube channel. I mean, nosying around people’s house WHILE they ask them completely random quickfire questions? Interiors + randomness = faves.

Coincidentally, my three favourite homes all belonged to blonde-haired singer/ actresses with ties to Nashville. They’re the people with the best taste, it seems. Reese Witherspoon’s book-filled family home, Nicole Kidman’s adorably quaint farmhouse were great. But my actual favourite and most similar to my own personal style was Taylor Swift’s Los Angles home. Probably no surprise, since I’ve always loved her taste and recommendations ever since I discovered her music in 2006 (I’m a real OG).

I happened to be in the House and Home office the day the video tour was uploaded and was asked to write a piece for the website. My editor gave me free rein to write about anything. And nobody told me I couldn’t write like the crazed fangirl I really am. So, behold, 13 Things I’m Obsessed With In Taylor Swift’s House. (Nope, subtle headlines aren’t my thing.)
