Valentine's Day Playlist

If I’m being honest, I really couldn’t care less about Valentine’s Day. It’s commercialised, corny, blah blah blah, etc. But right now, we’re in the thick of our third lockdown and the national mood is at an all-time low. And so, the Valentine’s skeptic in me is willing to overlook the silliness and embrace the positivity. I’ll take any excuse to celebrate right now.

That’s not the only reason why I put this playlist- “in spite of ourselves“- together. I inadvertently complied it a while back because I thought it could be nice to hear an uninterrupted expression of love done right. There are a lot of songs about love out there, but not so many about it not ending or destroying the person. If you’re in need of some hope right now, here you go. Listen and believe.
